A New update and a New season!

I realize it has been so very long (a year+) since I last wrote on here, however I have entered into a new season in my personal life and in our family.  My Girls have grown so much over the past year, now, the mom of a 18 month old (almost) and a 16 year old. However the joys of watching these two grow is inexpressible.
My Girls

We have also just recently found out that we are once again expecting!!! Much to my surprise and delight.  I truly believe children are a blessing from God to us, we so don't deserve it.  Everyone of them are unique and a chance for me to teach and lead another person to Christ and to follow Christ.  Each one is a ministry in and of itself.

This very thought brings me to the new season  I have come to, I have come to realize that my home, and my children are a ministry.  It is not that I have to go out and do ministry somewhere, if you are a wife and a mom your HAVE a ministry and a very important one.  These precious gifts were entrusted to you to lead, teach and bring to Jesus, to pray for and to guard, it is a very important job and you have been entrusted with it.  So often the mom is over looked as just a mom. I so wish that outlook would change.  I believe God has shown me over the past few months that my focus is to change and my ministry is to change.  I would before be running children's programs to make sure kids knew about him, however sometimes to the lack of my own home.  Not any more, I want to first and foremost, be that mom in my home and lead my own children, then I want to be the encouragement to other moms, concerning the passions God has given me such as being a stay home mom, homeschooling and just loving on your children.  I strive everyday to be that proverbs 31 women and mom.

As I embark on this new adventure, I know God has such an amazing plan for it, and I encourage you if you are a stay home mom, or if you are a homeschooling mom, you are making a bigger impact than you know, let God lead you and remember that you are more important than society gives you credit for.  You are responsible for the spiritual health of your children. They are treasures entrusted to you by God himself for you to care for.  Enjoy it and above all, TRUST JESUS!
